MID-SUMMER CATCHUP

I seem to be in Scandinavia more than ever! . . . . Of course a big Smokie territory.
Last week in Norway I noticed some photographers taking photos of the marvelous fjords and it reminded me just how I take some of this wonderful scenery for granted, although I am always quick to warn myself how lucky I am!

So what else has been happening? . . . . Well . . . . I've started rehearsing with my own band.
Dave, Simon and Lincoln have knuckled down to learn my songs and let me tell you . . . . . It really is wonderful to play my songs again, since recording them.

I've ventured back to the UK for rehearsals and I have genuinely enjoyed singing and playing my style of Blues/Rock.
There was a couple of moments that really pricked up the hairs on the back of my neck even though we are kind of learning how to play them and going through arrangements.

My keyboard player Dave, brings his personality to rehearsals and his black and white key wizardry seems put the icing on the cake. This is the first time that myself and Dave played together since we were about 17 years old . . . . .  that's seems along time ago now!

I shall keep you posted, but I'm hoping to do a few UK gigs in December shortly after Smokie return from our Australia tour!

A few summer festivals ahead now, before we take our summer break, but I'm particularly looking forward to the Ghaxac Festival in Malta, in the first week of August . . . . Hmmm . . . . . Might get  but of scuba diving in?

I hope your enjoying the summer, see you somewhere on the road!
